A former high ranking member of the British Defense Ministry has publicly predicted that humans will make alien contact in the year 2024, the same year that a revolutionary high powered telescope is projected to be completed.

“Former British Defense Ministry UFO project leader Nick Pope has boldly predicted that aliens will reveal themselves to humans no later than 2024, and might even land on the White House lawn, just like in the movies. Or, they may just send an email.”

While this may sound like wild conjecture, his predicted date interestingly enough coincides with the completion of a very complicated space telescope.  The article continues:

“According to an article published by the Jagran Post on Thursday, Dec. 27, that’s when the largest telescope in history will go online, improving current imaging and spectrum detection quality by a factor of 50, and at 10,000 times the speed of modern field-array radio telescopes.

The telescope, which will be constructed in the Australian outback, is called the Square Kilometer Array, or the SKA. 2024 is the year it’s planned to be finished and turned on. According to Pope, it’s the technological leap which will help to pinpoint potential alien life forms with more accuracy than ever before.”

The SKA telescope is the most ambitious ever planned. It will be made up of thousands of receptors, covering around 5,000 square kilometers of the Earth’s surface in the remote wilds of Australia.

When questioned about the capabilities of the telescope Pope confidently said that “If there is a civilization within 100 light years this telescope could find it”
Nick Pope has a long history in British military intelligence, specifically researching UFO phenomena.  According to Wikipedia:

“Pope joined the Ministry of Defense in 1985. After serving in a number of different posts, he was assigned in 1991 to a section of Secretariat (Air Staff) known as Sec (AS) 2a, where his duties included investigating reports of UFO sightings, to see if they had any defence significance.

At the time, while the Ministry of Defence stated that it “remains totally open-minded” about the existence or otherwise of extraterrestrial lifeforms”, it also stated that there was no evidence to suggest that any UFO sightings posed any threat to the UK or that they were extraterrestrial in origin. It is clear from material that Pope wrote whilst still at the MoD that he did not share the MoD’s view that conventional explanations could be found for all UFO sightings.

Pope’s final posting in the MoD was to the Directorate of Defence Security. He resigned in 2006 and in 2009 MoD announced that UFO sightings would no longer be investigated.”

Just yesterday theintelhub.com reported that a UFO was spotted on a NASA livestream, flying by the international space station.  There have also been such a frequency of UFO sightings in Denver that it has even made the mainstream news.  Most of these reports indicated unusual aircraft traveling at supersonic speeds, some of these supersonic sightings even being called in by police officers.
