Taste of Ireland Tour Scheduled For October 2013 With MCC

McHenry County College’s Trips and Tours office is offering a trip preview for its Taste of Ireland tour that takes place in October 2013. The preview is from 3:30-4:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 1, 2013 in Room A113 at the College, located at 8900 U.S. Hwy. 14 in Crystal Lake. 
The trip will take place Oct. 6-15, 2013 featuring a 10-day air tour that includes ancient castles, cathedrals, magnificent landscapes and a chance to kiss the famous Blarney Stone. Trip highlights include: 15 meals, air from Chicago to Dublin, a traditional Irish dinner, entertainment at the Merry Ploughboys Pub, and a stop at the Guinness Storehouse. Visitors will also see St. Patrick’s Cathedral and Book of Kells at Trinity College, Glendalough, Kilkenny Castle, Old Midleton Distillery, Blarney Castle, Ring of Kerry, Kissane Sheep Farm, Bunratty Folk Park, a Medieval banquet at Bunratty Castle, and King John’s Castle.
