The
McHenry County College Workforce, Community and Business Programs at
the Shah Center will host an ISO 9001 Informational Breakfast and
seminar from 7:45 to 9 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 23 at the MCC Shah
Center, 4100 W. Shamrock Lane in McHenry.
Wendy
Parr of Parr Consulting, Inc. will summarize the changes to ISO 9001,
which are scheduled to be released this month. Those who are
interested in retaining their quality management system certification
will have three years to recertify to the new version of IS0
9001:2015.
The
event is ideal for top management and those who will be responsible
for transitioning their organization to the new standard. ISO 9001 is
the international standard that specifies requirements for a quality
management system (QMS). Organizations use the standard to
demonstrate the ability to consistently provide products and services
that meet customer and regulatory requirements. It is the most
popular standard in the ISO 9000 series and the only standard in the
series to which organizations can certify.
All
organizations that use ISO 9001 are encouraged to transition to ISO
9001:2015 as soon as possible. This includes not only organizations
that are certified to ISO 9001:2008, but also any organizations
involved in training or certifying others. To help companies get
started making changes now, MCC is offering two courses, including
Internal Auditor Training on Nov. 13 and 20 and an Implementation
Workshop on
December 4.
Cost
of the breakfast workshop is $10. Use course code: NTE S42 001 to
register. To register, call (815) 455-8588 or register online at
