Not Pleased With Government

Just in case people are wondering if United States is the only place in the world where the people are not happy with their government…this from Hungary as one example.

BUDAPEST (Reuters) - Thousands of people protested outside Hungary's parliament on Saturday calling for the ouster of Prime Minister Viktor Orban and his centre-right government which they say has undermined democratic values and weakened the economy.

"Today we must say decisively and clearly, Viktor Orban and his gang must be voted out as soon as possible at an election," Peter Konya, leader of the Hungarian Solidarity Movement, told about 6,000 supporters.
The group is one of a handful of grassroots organizations that sprang up last year to fill the vacuum when the main opposition Socialists could not capitalize on the ruling party's loss of support.

It was the first demonstration in a string of such rallies, pro- and anti-government, that is customary around Hungary's March 15 national holiday, commemorating an 1848 revolution and failed war of independence against Austria.

Opposition To National Defense Authorization Act of 2012

"The Libertarian Party applauds the efforts of Delegate Bob Marshall and the Virginia General Assembly for passing HB 1160 which prevents Virginia's state and local government agencies from cooperating with the federal government in the indefinite detention of Virginians under the National Defense Authorization Act of 2012 ("NDAA").

"The draconian National Defense Authorization Act is an offensive against American citizens. It authorizes the President and the military to arrest and detain American citizens indefinitely, without charges, without the chance to confront their accusers, without legal counsel, and without a trial."

"We call for Virginia Governor McDonnell to immediately sign this bill into law."

"We further call on members of every state legislature and every governor to follow suit and pass similar legislation."

"We further call on every 2012 presidential candidate, every congressional candidate, and every U.S. Senate candidate to assert their unwavering opposition to NDAA and to vow to repeal it if elected."
