Experience the magic of dancing sugarplums Saturday, December 19 – Sunday, December 20.

The Nutcracker Ballet itself is based on the story of E.T.A Hoffman, but over the years the story has come to be nearly synonymous with Tchaikovsky’s masterpiece. The ballet transports Hoffman’s literary world to a new medium that brings magic to the fantastic happenings.

Join Clara on her daring adventure with the Nutcracker Prince through The Land of Snow and The Land of Sweets. March along with the toy soldiers, bravely battle the Mouse King and embrace the beauty of the dancing snowflakes! Raue Center is proud to partner with Berkshire Ballet Theatre once again. Tickets start at $27. Sponsored by Georgio’s Chicago Pizzeria and Pub, Bank of America and Northwest Herald.

About Berkshire Ballet Theatre
The Berkshire Ballet Theatre is a pre-professional training program for motivated dancers 12-20 years old. Students learn through technique classes and performances in a creative and disciplined environment. Intermediate 1 and 2 students begin the classical syllabus which requires students to work carefully with much repetition in order to isolate the correct muscle groups required for turn-out, extension, and a strong jump.  When a student is ready pointe training begins. Character dance, Modern dance and floor barre are also introduced into training. Berkshire Ballet Theatre trainees, apprentices, and company dancers continue advanced classical ballet training including classical variations, pas de deux and repetoire.
