Erik began his service as Superintendent of Park Services May 13. His years of service, knowledge and passion of the parks and
facilities in the Park District setting prompted his rising to the top of the
numerous and qualified applicants that applied for the position.
Erik has an Associate of Applied Science
(AAS) in Horticulture and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. He
has worked for the Crystal Lake Park District since 2001, most recently in the
position of Turf and Irrigation Crew Leader.
His responsibilities as the
Superintendent of Park Services include the development, renovation and
maintenance of all grounds, buildings, and park facilities in the Crystal Lake
Park District. In addition, Erik will manage and supervise all full-time and
part-time personnel in the planning and coordination of both in-house and
contracted maintenance tasks and capital improvement projects.
Erik is looking forward to working
with all staff to enhance Crystal Lake Park District parks and buildings. “As
the new Superintendent of Park Services, I will strive to continue to offer
high quality care and service to Crystal Lake parks and facilities despite the
challenges that the current economic conditions might present.”
