Busy Time For McHenry County Conservation District Board This Evening

5:00 p.m.—The Finance Committee of the McHenry County Conservation District Will meet in the Brookdale Administrative Office, 18410 US Highway 14, Woodstock.

In addition to a review of the monthly bills and treasurer’s report, the committee is also expected to approve the FY 2012 Combined Annual Budget and Appropriation Ordinance.

Also included on the agenda is consideration of change orders and amendments to a Professional Service Agreement for Dufield Pond.

Meeting in executive session at the Brookdale Administrative Offices,

7:00 p.m.—Regular Session of McHenry County Conservation District Board, will meet in the same location as above.

In addition to the various reports from various related group representatives, the Board is to approve the awarding of an $800 Carl J. Mitchell Conservation Scholarship to Danielle Carlson. This is an offset of the cost to attend the SEACAMP I program of her choice.

The Board is to adopt a resolution establishing a partnership with McHenry County and United States Army Corp of Engineers on the Kishwaukee River Riparian Marsh Restoration Project.

Approval by the Board of authorization to issue a $32,185 refundable cash deposit to the Village of Cary for Right-of-Way improvements within the Village as part of the Site Improvements to the Fel-Pro-RRR Conservation Area.

The re-submittal of an Illinois Department of Natural Resources OSLAD Development Grant for the Boone Creek Conservation Area Site Access Project.

The Board is being requested to approve authorization for the Executive Director to execute an Illinois EPA Grant Agreement with the Nippersink Watershed Association for $25,700 for the restoration of seven acres of riparian wetlands at the High Point Conservation Area.

An approval is being requested for an addition to a Professional services Agreement with Conservation Design Forum of Elmhurst for the Dufield Pond Conservation Area. The cost is not to exceed $8,050.

Authorization is requested from the Board for preparation of specifications and letting of bids for brush clearing at the Nippersink North Branch, Hickory Grove and Pleasant Valley Conservation Areas.

A Grant Agreement with the Illinois Clean Energy Community Foundation is also being presented to the Board for approval. This $293,045 Grant is for the Winding Creek Conservation Area Addition.
