The
McHenry County Zoning Board of Appeals has extended the deadline to
submit written and emailed comments on the Unified Development Ordinance to
April 18, 2014.
Over the
last week, written and verbal comments were accepted in person through four
public meetings at Marengo High School, McHenry Township Office, McHenry County
College, and the District 50 Administration Center in Harvard. All
comments will be compiled for review by the Zoning Board of Appeals prior to
the next hearing date of 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 23 at the McHenry County
Administration Building. At that time, the board will commence formally
reviewing the comments and making corresponding edits to the ordinance, when
deemed appropriate.
Written
comments may be mailed to Richard Kelly Jr., Chairman, McHenry County Zoning
Board of Appeals, 2200 N. Seminary Avenue, Woodstock, IL 60098 or emailed
to: PlanDev@co.mchenry.il.us.
All written and emailed comments must be received by 4:30 p.m., Friday, April
18.
The
Unified Development Ordinance updates and combines several existing county
ordinances, including the zoning, subdivision, and sign ordinances.
The
Public Hearing Draft of the ordinance, and a report highlighting many of the
changes, are available for viewing at the McHenry County Department of Planning
and Development Office and on the County Website at: www.co.mchenry.il.us/county-government/departments-j-z/planning-development.
