Are Times A-Changing?

The Town Crier has been engaged in journalism for nearly a half century, both in Illinois and Pennsylvania.
In all instances, we were never permitted to serve on a jury. This year for the first time, we are possibly to sit on a jury in McHenry County.

This week we were summoned to serve on a jury, or at least wait to see if we are called to serve on the jury in McHenry County. Today, is the big test. We are called, but whether we are chosen will remain to be seen. It is up to the attorneys involved in representing the principals in the trial.
