George M. Hoffman has joined the McHenry County State’s Attorney’s Office as an assistant state’s attorney in the Civil Division as of March 6.
According to the announcement by McHenry County State’s Attorney Louis A. Bianchi, Hoffman has been practicing law for three decades with extensive legal experience in federal and state courts. He has experience in preparing and trying cases involving a wide variety of disputes including, antitrust, copyright infringement, contracts, real property, bankruptcy, RICO, insurance coverage, class actions, shareholder derivative claims, professional liability, premises liability, consumer fraud, unfair and deceptive trade practices, Section 1983 claims and employment-related matters.
He has represented Fortune 500 companies, privately-held companies, non-profit organizations, entrepreneurs and individuals.
Hoffman graduated from DePaul University College of Law in 1981. He was a partner in the Chicago Law Firm of Neal, Gerber & Eisenberg, where he worked for many years. Subsequently he was employed for a decade at the law firm of Stamos & Trucco LLPO in Chicago.
