Evan Jager represented the USA Track and Field Olympic Team in the 3000 meter Steeplechase in the 2012 London Olympics, placing 6th in the world. As many Olympians train for years for their respective events, Evan is the current American record holder after running in this event only seven times.
While at Jacobs, Evan accumulated numerous IHSA State titles, including the 4x800 Meter Relay, 1600m, 3200m, and took home the individual Cross Country State Championship as well.
A celebration on Wednesday, September 5 at 3:30 p.m. will take place in front of the Thirsty Whale, 1700 South Randall Road, Algonquin.
