Lucy’s Music Café will feature “Elevate” at 8:30 p.m.
on June 22. The location for Lucy’s Café is the Raue Center For The Arts in
downtown Crystal Lake.
This eight-piece Woodstock band has been exploring and perfecting their sound for more than a year and are now ready to share what they’ve created. Patrons are in for an eclectic treat. An evening with “Elevate” will likely include a heavy dose of Latin flavor combined with some funk, soul, R&B and straight ahead rock. “Eclectic” doesn’t just apply to their musical style, however. Each member has a musical style and background different than the next. “Elevate” is led by lead singer, pianist and founder, J. The other members include Tyler Ommen (drums), Nathan Staley (percussion), Kelvin Levels (bass) Aaron Netsell (guitar and vocals), Jody Powers (vocals), and John and Christine Tuck (horns). J describes what the word elevate means to him as, “the knowledge that, after being together with these musicians, I just got better at what I do.” Elevate hopes to leave the audience with the same feeling. Lucy’s Café events, both music and comedy, allow patrons to enjoy an intimate evening of entertainment without the big city prices. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 the day of the show. They are on sale now online at rauecenter.org or through the Box Office at 26 N. Williams Street or by calling 815.356.9212. Lucy’s Music Café is sponsored by Country Inn and Suites, Exclusively Napa and McHenry County Living. About Raue Center For The Arts
