8:30 a.m. McHenry County Staff Plat Committee-

Meeting in the County Board Conference Room, County Administration Building, 667 Ware Road, Woodstock.

The Committee, in addition to approving bills and prior meeting minutes, is expected to consider a plat vacation for Woodland Estates of Cary.

8:30 a.m. – McHenry County Board Public Health and Human Services Committee—

Meeting in the County Board Conference Room, County Administration Building, 667 Ware Road, Woodstock.

The Committee is scheduled to interview Joanne Hanrahan for a position on the Valley Hi Operating Board with a deliberation and selection of one candidate for recommendation to the County Board Chairwoman for the Valley Hi Operating Board for a term to expire on June 30, 2014.

The Committee is also to consider budget reviews for

• Senior Services
•  Superintendent of Schools,
• Veterans Assistance
•  McHenry County Workforce Network
• Workforce Investment Board.

Fiscal Year 13-14 Budget Reviews are also scheduled for:

1:00 p.m. – McHenry County Zoning Board of Appeals

Hearing being held in the County Board Conference Room, County Administration Building, 667 Ware Road, Woodstock.

The Zoning Board, meeting with the McHenry County Board Planning and Development Committee are expected to review a draft of the Unified Development Ordinance with discussion beginning with Article 14 (Use , 37Standards)

7:00 p.m. – Algonquin Township Board—

Meeting in the Township Offices, 3702 US Highway 14, Crystal Lake.

The Board is to audit bills and the treasurer’s report regarding the four funds including Town Fund, General Assistance, Road & Bridge Fund and Equipment & Building Fund.

Another matter to be handled by the Board is the appointment of Clerk Charles A. Lutzow, Jr. as a FOIA officer.

Rakow Road -- Enjoy New Roadway

The Rakow Road project is complete and we thank all of the residents, businesses and commuters along the corridor for the patience and understanding during construction.

Also, thanks to everyone who kept up with the news using this website, email blasts and/or Twitter feed! 

We started staging traffic on June 8th, 2011 and we opened all lanes to live traffic on November 16th, 2012. 

Over those 527 days, the contractors involved in the project:

• Moved over 243,700 cubic yards of soil and clay (imagine six Washington Monuments worth of dirt, plus a little bit extra for good measure!)
• Poured over 30,000 cubic yards of concrete (and it took over 3,750 concrete mixers to deliver that material to the site!)
• Placed over 34,500 tons of hot-mix asphalt on Rakow alone (which took over 1,700 tractor-trailers to deliver!)
• Installed well over 28,000 feet (5.45 miles!) of storm sewer pipe connecting over 490 catch basins, inlets and manholes
• Thank you to everyone involved for the hard work!

Please enjoy the new roadway; we hope it brings you to and from home and work and shopping and friends safely for many years to come!

8:15 a.m. – McHenry County Board Human Resources Committee—

Meeting in the County Board Conference Room, County Administration Building, 667 Ware Road, Woodstock.

The Committee will conduct FY 13-14 Budget Reviews for Human Resources and consider a resolution authorizing a Three Year Contract Agreement Between Service Employees International Union-Local 73, Valley-Hi Nursing and rehabilitation Center and The County.

9:30 a.m. McHenry County Board Finance and Audit Committee—

Meeting in the County Board Conference Room, County Administration Building, 667 Ware Road, Woodstock.

A presentation is slated regarding the Convention and Visitors Bureau.

Five resolutions are being presented for Committee action. Including

• Authorizing Monthly Transactions for the Delinquent Tax Program
• Authorizing the Purchase of electronic Key Control Cabinets for the McHenry County Jail Facility
• Authorizing the purchase and installation of a new video Visitation System in the County Correctional facility.
• Authorizing a contract with D’s Marine for the refurbishing of two Marine Patrol Unite Boats. This sill require a line item transfer in the Sheriff’s Fiscal Year 2013 Budget
• Authorizing a three-year contract agreement between Service Employees International Union-Local 73, Valley Hi Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and The County.

Additionally, the committee will consider committee goals.

6:00 p.m. – McHenry County College Board of Trustees –

Meeting in the Board Room, McHenry County College, 8900 US Highway 14, Crystal Lake.

The Committee of the Whole is to discuss the fY14 Draft Budget with Chief Financial Officer/Treasurer Bob Tenuta.

Another discussion is to take place with Ms. Laura Brown, regarding the McHenry County College Strategic Plan

A number of trustee requests are to be considered including:

• Update on Veteran Support
• Costs to Satisfy FOIA Requests and Transparency Steps
• Website Document Security
• Level of Detail in Closed Session Minutes
• Streaming of all Board Meetings.

7:00 p.m. – Lakewood Village Board-

Meeting in the Red Tail Golf Club, 6900 Red Tail Drive, Lakewood.

In addition to considering the necessary items of paying bills, the Board is also to consider approval of East Sewer cost improvement program –installation of overhead sewers or backflow devises.

The Committee is to view a presentation regarding Insurance Renewal for Fiscal Year 2013-2014.

This is followed by budget reviews for Purchasing, GIS, Recorder, Facilities Management and Information Technology.

The Committee is to consider a Resolution requesting the submission of a Question of Public Policy to the Electors of McHenry County Regarding the Method of Selection of the County Board Chair to the Electorate of McHenry County.

Other topics for consideration include:’

6:30 p.m. – McHenry County College Evaluation and Policies Committee—

Meeting in the College Board Room, MCC, 8900 Northwest Highway, Crystal Lake.

The Committee is to continue a review of the Board Policy Manual, view a presentation of Ideas for discussion related to the policy regarding Freedom of Information and Related Procedures as presented by Trustee Chris Jenner.

Also to be considered in a discussion, is the level of detail provided in closed session board minutes.

Other matters for consideration include review of policy for destruction of closed session minutes
