On
January 3, 2015 the Crystal Lake Park District was awarded a $400,000 grant
from the Illinois Department of Natural Resources (IDNR) Open Space Lands
Acquisition and Development (OSLAD) Grants Program. This is a matching fund
grant for the renovation of the Crystal Lake Park District’s Main Beach and
Park. Governor Quinn made this announcement at a press conference at the Cheney
Mansion in Oak Park which was attended by Crystal Lake Park District
Commissioner, Larry Wheeler and Executive Director, Jason Herbster.
