McHenry
County College has expanded its offerings in the Harvard area to further help
both students and residents save time and transportation costs. In addition to
offering credit classes, which count toward associate degrees, MCC offers a

The credit
courses include: tax preparation, computer literacy, English, elementary
algebra, sociology, Spanish and speech, which take place in the evenings at
Harvard Community Unit School District 50 Administration Building at 401 N.
Division Street.
Offered
for the second year in a row, McHenry County College will continue the free
bilingual tax preparation with free e-filing for individuals and families
through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Clinic. The tax clinic is
for those with household income less than $55,000. The Harvard tax clinic hours
are on Mondays from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. beginning in mid-January through April 13
at the District 50 Administration Building, in the Board Room. For more
information on the tax clinic, contact (847) 260-VITA.
