McHenry County College’s Trips and
Tours program is offering a trip to see “The Last Ship,” a new musical in
Chicago on Wednesday, July 9. The trip will depart from MCC at 9:15 a.m. and
return at 7 p.m.
“The Last Ship” features an original
score by 16-time Grammy Award winner Sting, and is inspired by Sting's own
childhood experiences. This world premiere production is directed by two-time
Tony Award winner Joe Mantello (Wicked) and is based on a book by Tony Award
winner John Logan (Red) and Pulitzer Prize winner Brian Yorkey (Next to
Normal).
“The Last Ship” is set in the English
seafaring town of Wallsend, a close-knit community so bound together by
passion, faith and tradition that they will stop at nothing to preserve the
only life they've ever known.
Cost is $135. Use trip ID: NST
S21 007 when registering. Register by calling the MCC Registration Office at
(815) 455-8588. For more information, call Tracy Berry at (815) 455-8758 or
