The McHenry County College
chorus will perform in the Sing-Along of Handel’s “Messiah” at 4 p.m. Sunday,
Dec. 9 at the Raue Center for the Arts, 26 N. Williams Street in downtown
Crystal Lake.
The MCC chorus will join the Voices in Harmony, with both groups accompanied by a 25-piece orchestra, under the direction of Steve Szalaj, MCC choral director, and Lauren Stoeck, associate director. Assisting conductor will be Paige Lush, Ph.D., band director at MCC. Featured soloists are: Kirsten Leslie, soprano; A.J. Wester, mezzo-soprano; Chad Cygan, tenor; and Rick Ziebarth, bass-baritone
Tickets are $18 for adults, $15 for students and seniors. Children under 12 are free with a paying adult. Group rates are available for groups of 10 or more by calling the box office at (815) 356-9212. “Messiah” scores will be available for purchase at the concert.
