Second Annual Hispanic Heritage Celebration

Raue Center For The Arts is proud to announce they will host their second annual Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration from September 15, 2012 through October 15, 2012.

The initiative was founded by T. Paul Lowry, Raue Center and Williams Street Repertory’s Producing Director, and began last year. The community can look forward to diverse and unique programming kicking off with Agua Dulce FUSION, a food and drink event like no other.


Also included in the line-up is Bandoleros – a musical force of nature out of Chicago – and the monthly literature program Get Lit(erary) held at Le Petit Marche across the street from Raue Center.


An art exhibit centered around Latin American artists will also be on display throughout the month. For a complete program line-up, details and tickets, visit

Agua Dulce FUSION | September 15 at 7:00 pm
Come out and join in as Raue Center celebrates the kick-off of Hispanic Heritage Month with food, drinks and music from one the most diverse (and fun!) cultures in the world. The event will be held on stage at Raue Center with a DJ, cash bar and food buffet.

As a bonus the event will feature a special tequila tasting in our upstairs bar, 26 North, from 7-8pm.This event is 21 and older and tickets are $30. (Ticket purchase includes food, tequila tasting from 7 to 8pm and one drink ticket). This event is sponsored by Sage Products, Inc.


Get Lit(erary)| September 20 at 7:00 pm
Get Lit is Raue Center’s monthly series with dramatic readings and hysterical interpretations of classic pieces of literature – along with a few drinks and friends! September’s installment will include poetry by Pablo Neruda read in English and Spanish and more!

The reading session will take place at Le Petit Marché, right across the street from Raue Center, at 19 N. Williams Street. The literature program is free and all are welcome.


Bandoleros | September 29 at 8:00 pm
In continuing our Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration we welcome Bandoleros, a Chicago-based musical force of nature that has mesmerized audiences around the world with its spicy blend of Middle Eastern, Spanish flamenco and Latin flavors. Ticket prices are $16, $19 and $22 and student tickets are $11 with a student ID. This show is sponsored by Sage Products, Inc.
