Congressman Manzullo's Wife Hospitalized Early This Week; Now Resting At Home

Freda Manzullo, wife of Congressman Don Manzullo, (R-IL) is recovering in northern Virginia following a procedure to clear a clogged artery that sent her into cardiac arrest early Sunday. She was revived and was rushed to Inova Fairfax Hospital in Falls Church, Virginia, where she underwent an angioplasty Monday to clear a significant blockage.

Mrs. Manzullo, 54, responded well to treatment and was released from the hospital today. She is resting comfortably and is expected to make full recovery. Mrs. Manzullo was with the Congressman in Washington, DC while the House was in session the past two weeks.

Congressman Manzullo was scheduled to return home to northern Illinois for several events this weekend and next week, but he has cancelled those plans so he can stay with his wife while she recovers.
