FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 18
8:15 a.m.—The Public Health and Human Services Committee of the McHenry County Board is meeting in the Conference Room of the County Administration Building, 667 Ware Road, Woodstock.
The agenda for this meeting calls for a presentation review of Workforce Network Federal Budget as well as the appointment to the Mental Health Board.
In new business, authorization is being sought to accept an additional $12,000 in Grant Funding from the Illinois Department of Human Services and increase the hours of two staff positions. This is planned to be used to increase the part-times hours for two Breastfeeding Peer Counselors in the WIC Latino population. There is no impact on County funds.
Also the County has been awarded $5,000 in additional funding from the National Association of City and County Health Officials. This is being appropriated to the Health Department Budget to improve the capabilities of the Department's Medical Reserve Corps. This is the third year NACCHO has provided this grant.
