Victim/Witness Coordinator Joins McHenry County State's Attorney Office

Louis A. Bianchi, McHenry County State’s Attorney, is pleased to announce that Margaret (Meg) Cooney has joined the office as a Victim/Witness Coordinator.  She will report to First Assistant, Norman Vinton.
Ms. Cooney completed her Masters of Social Work at Loyola University of Chicago and possesses a double-major Bachelor of Science Degree in Law Enforcement Justice Administration and Spanish.  Meg studied abroad at Universidad de Salamanca in Spain and at the Cuauhnáhuac Spanish Language Institute in Mexico.  She speaks and writes Spanish proficiently.
Ms. Cooney brings diverse work and internship experiences to the State’s Attorney’s Office from UCAN Chicago (Bilingual Foster Care Case Manager), Illinois Department of Children and Family Services of Woodstock and Chicago Youth Center.
Meg is a Licensed Social Worker, a Licensed Child Welfare Worker, and has completed her Domestic Violence 40-hour Training.
Please welcome Meg as she arrives and begins her career in public service on behalf of the People of McHenry County.
