Government At Work

WEDNESDAY, JUNE 5—
8:15 a.m. – McHenry County Board Transportation Committee –
Meeting in the Main Conference Room, Division of Transportation, 16111 Nelson Road, Woodstock.
Two presentations are scheduled for the Committee regarding the 2040 Transportation Plan website updates and financial constraints.
The Committee is to consider nine resolutions including:
  • Approval for supplemental construction engineering service agreement for the    James R. Rakow Road project;
  • Approval for the McHenry County Living Snow Fence Program and appropriating funds
  • Approval of the 2013 to 2017 highway improvement program
  • Authorization for the purchase of two vehicles for the Department
  • Awarding Road District Construction Contracts
  • Awarding a County Highway Pavement Preservation Thin Lift Overlay Contract and appropriating the necessary funds.
  • Awarding a contract for  Thermoplastic Pavement markings and appropriating funds
  • Approving an Engineering Services Agreement and Appropriating Funds for the Franklinville Road Bridge over the Kishwaukee River project.
  • Resolution approving an intergovernmental agreement with testate of Illinois for the Franklinville Road Bridge Project
The Committee is also to approve the 2013 Traffic Count Consultant, consider the sustainable fleet replacement program for the FY2014 Budget Policy.
8:30 a.m. –McHenry County Housing Commission-
Meeting in the Planning and Development Conference Room, McHenry County Administration Building, 667 Ware Road, Woodstock.
The Commission is to consider the topics of the McHenry County Council of Government and an Action Plan, with regard to goals for education Committee.
11:00 a.m. – Crystal Lake Park Board Planned Tour of Facilities
This has been cancelled.
1:30 p.m. – McHenry County Zoning Board of Appeals
Hearing being held in the County Board Conference Room, County Administration Building, 667 Ware Road, Woodstock.
A hearing is scheduled to take place regarding a commercial kitchen for apple process, including an apple cider press and apple donut making along with other events, attractions, rides, games, including outdoor trampolines, haunted theme attractions, apple and pumpkin cannons, indoor and outdoor picnicking, observation towers, decks, food concessions, petting zoo, pig races, rides and playground areas A request is also being made to waive the requirement for improved parking spaces and to allow gravel parking areas on the premises – except for handicapped parking spaces.
4:00 p.m. -- The Crystal Lake Public Library Board of Trustees who attended the Chuck Loring Seminar will gather to discuss what they learned.  The meeting will take place at 461 Rockland Rd, Crystal Lake.
7:00 p.m.—McHenry County Department of Health Animal Advisory Committee—
Meeting at the Crystal Lake facility, 100 N. Virginia Street.
The Committee is to consider the subjects of externship No 2, Molly Lynch, the low census counts.
Under new business, a report on the April 20 vaccination and microchip CL Community outreach by Kara Plonczynski. The agenda also includes personnel changes and any information and communications as well as an end of the month report. 
7:30 p.m. – Crystal Lake Planning and Zoning Commission-
Meeting in the City Hall, 100 Woodstock Street.
Six matters are to be presented for consideration; 
 2013-15 UDO AMENDMENTS

The petitioner is requesting to be continued to the June 19, 2013 PZC meeting.
 2013-22 GOODWILL – LUTTER CENTER – 1000 Central Park Blvd.
- PUBLIC MEETA motion is requested to set a public hearing date on June 19, 2013. Preliminary and Final PUD with variations for a retail store.
 2012-86 TONYAN – 145 Erick Street – PUBLIC HEARING
Rezoning upon Annexation to “M” Manufacturing District.
 2013-24 ZICCARDI – 7808 Virginia Road  – PUBLIC HEARING
Use Variation to allow a single family residence in the “M-L” Manufacturing Limited District.
 2013-25 WHITNEY – 91 S. Walkup  – PUBLIC HEARING
Variation to allow an accessory structure in the front yard setback.
  2013-26 BARTLEY SQUARE – SW Bard and Huntley Roads  – PUBLIC MEETING
Conceptual PUD review for 80 apartment units.
