Government At Work

TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 11
8:30 a.m. – McHenry County Board Human Resources Committee –
Meeting in the County Board Conference Room, County Administration Building, 667 Ware Road, Woodstock.

Several budget reviews are to be handled by the committee, including Social Security Budget, IMRF Budget and Employee Benefit Fund Budget.


The Committee is also to consider adopting a resolution authorizing adjustments to the Job Classification Structure in the County’s job Evaluation/Classification System.


9:30 a.m. – McHenry County Board Finance and Audit Committee –
Meeting in the County Board Conference Room, County Administration Building, 667 Ware Road, Woodstock.

The committee is to discuss a presentation regarding the McHenry County Convention and visitors Bureau.


Four resolutions are being presented for the Committee’s consideration, including:
Resolution authorizing an emergency appropriation and fund balance utilization of Law Library Fund balance to the Law Library fiscal year 2012 budget.

Resolution authorizing an Emergency Appropriation to the Division of Transportation FY 2011-2012 Budget for Fuel, Oil and Grease.

Resolution requesting authorization to adopt Senior Services Grant Funding Allocations for Program Year 2013.

Resolution authorizing adjustments to the Job Classification Structure in the County’s Job Evaluation/Classification System.

Consideration is also to be given to the Non-Departmental FY 2012/2013 Budge


Discussion on the FY2012.2013 Budget Supplemental Requests.


Other matters include, as applicable, the Auditors Report, Contingency Report as of September 5, 2012 and Economic Development Corporation.

11:00 a.m. – McHenry County Board Liquor & License Committee –
Meeting in the County Board Conference Room, County Administration Building, 667 Ware Road, Woodstock.

There are no listed new liquor licenses to be considered.

Four Raffle permits are being requested by: Main Stay Therapeutic Riding Program, Pioneer Center For Human Services, Family Alliance, Inc. and Marengo Area Schools Education Foundation.

Other matters to be reviewed by the Committee include incident reports and update on sting operations.

7:00 p.m. – Lakewood Village Board

Meeting in the RedTail Golf Club, 7900 RedTail Drive, Lakewood.
In addition to approving the necessary accounts payable for the Village and RedTail Golf Club, the Board will consider approval of the Village’s recommended Halloween Trick or Treat Hours for October 31 to be from 3:00 p.m. To 7:00 p.m.

The Board is also to consider a motion to Assign the Rights of the Agreement between the Village and BJF Ex-Land, LLC regarding the Highlands of RedTail to the Highlands of RedTail, LLC.

A motion is also being presented the Board for approval to purchase Nine iPad Tablets and /accessories in an Amount not to exceed $4,300.
Before the adjournment of the meeting, there is time for reports and comments from the Village Clerk, Treasurer, Attorney, President, Trustees and Manager.

7:30 p.m. – High School District 155 Board of Education –
Meeting in the Center for Education, One South Virginia Road, Crystal Lake.

The new teachers are to be recognized by the Board as presented by Dr. Steven Koch.

New Band Uniforms for Crystal Lake Central High School is to be presented by Steve Olson.


Joseph Murphy, Director of Finance for the District will present the bills for approval by the Board.

Seven individuals are being approved for resignation, retirement or dismissal and the Board is asked to approve these.

Five individuals are being presented for approval as employees of the District for the coming school year.

Six individuals are being presented to the Board for approval for coaching and extra-curricular assignments.

Summer graduates are being presented to the Board for approval including from Crystal Lake Central, five from Cary-Grove, and two from Crystal Lake South.
