Get Lit(erary) At The Raue Center For The Arts

Williams Street Repertory (Raue Center For The Arts’ in-house theatre company) is excited to continue it’s monthly program Get Lit(erary) into the next season! Get Lit is a free monthly event that strives to engages the community with all things literary. Sessions take place every third Thursday of the month at 7:00 pm at Le Petit Marche (LPM) and this event is open to the public.

The program is a fresh take on classic and not-so-classic literature, read aloud by Williams Street Repertory actors, along with a few drinks and friends. LPM owner Dawn Gerth organizes the topical-themed nights of literary entertainment. Get Lit(erary) has featured pieces from poets, novelists, lyricists and more. Authors have included David Sedaris, Maurice Sendak, W.B. Yeats and Giovanni Boccaccio. Lyrics by The Kinks and even Madonna have been featured at Get Lit sessions.


September 20, 2012 marks the next session. The theme of the evening will carry over from Raue Center’s Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration. Amongst the pieces selected are English and Spanish versions of Pablo Neruda poems.


Enjoy a seasonal pasta dinner before the show! Dinners are $10 and are served with Le Petit Marche’s very own Artisan Bread and House Salad. LPM is located at 19 N.
