Schools in the area of Rakow Road will be watched as students begin their first days back.
Crystal Lake South High School starts Thursday, August 25th.
District 47 elementary schools start with a half day Tuesday, August 30th, with the first full day being Wednesday, August 31st.
A traffic signal engineer will be on-site in these mornings and afternoons to observe traffic patterns and signal timings so adjustments can be made to optimize traffic movements as safely as possible. Reviewing the signals will continue as traffic settles into the school year pattern.
