Not Registered To Vote? There Is An Option

For voters who are not registered to vote, the final day to register was Tuesday.
But there is "Grace Period" Voter Registration

McHenry County Clerk Katherine C. Schultz, says a state law allows a "Grace Period" for people to register to vote between March 9 and March 29 for the April 5 Consolidated Election.

Individuals may register in person during normal office hours at the clerk's office, County Administration Building, 667 Ware Road, Room 107, Woodstock.

However, there is a caveate. People who register to vote during this three-week period must vote in the County Clerk's Office at the time they register. People who register during this "grace period" are not eligible to vote at their precinct polling place on April 5.

To be eligible to vote, a person must be a US citizen, 18 years old by Election Day, and a resident of the precinct for at least 30 days prior to Election Day.

Two (2) forms of Identification are necessary both with the voter's name and one (1) with their current address.
