Armed Robbery Nets 25 Years As Guest of Illinois Department of Corrections

Louis A. Bianchi, McHenry County State’s Attorney, announces that on June 4, 2014, Defendant Eric Sorenson was sentenced to 25 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections for the offense of Armed Robbery.

The Defendant was arrested by the Crystal Lake Police Department for Armed Robbery on November 1, 2012.  On September 2, 2012, the defendant went to a CVS in Crystal Lake and robbed the pharmacist on duty of three hundred oxycodone pills.  The defendant was armed with and brandished a firearm during the robbery.  The case was investigated by Detective Houlihan, Detective Ford, Detective Nystrom, and Detective Majzner of the Crystal Lake Police Department and prosecuted by Assistant State’s Attorneys Michael Combs and Robert Zalud.
