The necessary Resolution setting the tax levy for the coming tax year at 9.9% was adopted at the last Board of Trustees meeting. The rate is increasing by .00003, which will impact a homeowner approximately $1.30 per year based on a $250,000 home or $0.11 cents per month.
It was necessary for the College to anticipate the 9.9% rate to encompass new construction, property annexations or expiring Tax Increment Financing Districts because the EAV from the four counties encompassing the College facility were not available at the time of the filing.
The Board will be considering other routine matters for the good of the College.
