Blues Traveler Comes To Crystal Lake

It’s not every band that’s still staking out new musical territory and embracing fresh challenges more than 23 years into their career, but that’s the case with Blues Traveler. Having long ago graduated from the jam-band underground to mainstream stardom, the iconoclastic combo has consistently stuck to its guns and played by its own rules.

Blues Traveler, a rock band formed in Princeton, New Jersey in 1987, has been influenced by a variety of genres, including blues-rock, psychedelic rock; fold rock, soul, and Southern rock. They are known for extensive use of segues in their live performances.

Blues Traveler is best known among fans for their improvisational live shows, the general pubic is most familiar with the group from their Top 40 singles, “But Anyway”, “Run-Around” and “Hook”. They gained mainstream popularity after their fourth studio album “four”, released in 1994.

And they are coming to Crystal Lake Sunday night at the Raue Center For The Arts on North Williams Street.
