McHenry County Department of Transportation is preparing for the winter. The Transportation Committee of the McHenry County Board is being requested to approve the expenditure of $962,000 for the materials to provide clear roads during the coming winter. The three chemicals to be used include salt, Calcium Chloride and Geo-melt. Additionally, a Snow and Ice Policy is to be adopted providing the procedures to be used by the Department regarding clearing roads of whatever is sent by Nature.
The Committee meets Wednesday morning beginning at 8:15 in the Transportation Department Building, 16111 Nelson Road, Woodstock.
