New And Unique MCC Classes For Homemakers

McHenry County College’s Continuing Education Department is offering some new and unique autumn classes.  Learn about re-upholstering, create a fall centerpiece or holiday swag. Grab a friend, make it a girl’s day, or just spend time doing something fun and creative.
The following classes are available:
Tips & Techniques of Re-upholstering: Learn the basics of re-upholstering for a fresh updated look of a worn vintage chair. The instructor will discuss style, color and function to give you a new look appropriate for your home. This is a demo class. Students will not re-upholster in this class. Class takes place from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 1 at Blooms & Rooms, 1245 N. Green Street, McHenry. Cost is $19. Use course code: NCF S18 001 to register.
Fall Centerpiece: Transition your Halloween centerpiece to Thanksgiving for your gathering table. Learn trade secrets of how to transition your table from one holiday to the next. Class takes place from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Thursday, October 29 at Blooms & Rooms, 1245 N. Green Street, McHenry. Cost is $29. Use course code: NCF S20 001 to register.

 Holiday Swag: A fun and festive silk pine swag embellished with your favorite colors and trimmings for the season. Learn the art of bow making and tricks of embellishments that create the magic in your swag. Class takes place from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Thursday, November 5 at Blooms & Rooms, 1245 N.
