On
Tuesday morning, June 23, 2015 Hey and Associates, Inc. will be
conducting herbicide treatments of areas within West Bay and at
points around various No-Wake buoys on the north side of the lake.
The treatment areas in West Bay will include waters adjacent to the
shoreline to approximately 150’ offshore, and areas well offshore
near the buoys to the north (Public swimming areas are not
included in this treatment). These areas are to be treated with a
granular form of a selective aquatic herbicide to control specific,
unwanted submerged vegetation.
Water
use restrictions are as follows:
- Do not use water from treated areas for irrigation, sprays or for potable (drinking) water for a
- period of up to 21 days
- Do not swim in treated water for a minimum of 24 hours after the application date (see above)
- There are no restrictions on using water from treated areas for fishing after this application
Treatment
signs will be posted at the time of the treatment in each individual
lot where the treatment will occur near the shoreline. For more
