Government At Work - Wednesday

8:15 a.m. – McHenry County Board Transportation Committee-
Meeting in the McHenry County Division of Transportation Main Conference Room, 16111 Nelson Road, Woodstock. The Committee will be considering two proclamations, including declaring National Public Works Week, “Building for Today, Planning for Tomorrow:” and a proclamation recognizing Richard “Mark” DeVries for 29 years of Public Service with McHenry County.
Resolutions to be considered by the Committee include:
·     Adopt-A-Highway Volunteer Group Agreement
· Awarding a Construction Contract and Appropriating Funds for the installation of temporary traffic signals at the Marengo Road/W. Main Street & Harmony Road/Hemmer Road intersection
·   Approving an Engineering Services Agreement Amendment to a Traffic Counting Contract and Appropriating Funds
New Business includes
Rakow Road Awards
Old Business to be considered includes:
·        Recommended No Change to Speed Limit on County Highway
·        Recommended No Change to Speed Limit on Township Highway
·        Implementation Task Force Restructuring Draft Bylaws

1:30 p.m. – McHenry Zoning Board of Appeals
Meeting in the County Board Conference Room, County Administration Building, 667 Ware Road, Woodstock.
The Board is to conduct a hearing regarding reclassification from A-1 Agriculture District to a B-1 Neighborhood Business District for property in McHenry Township. Also to be considered for the property is a request for the granting to allow a transitional yard setback of 9.5 feet instead of the required 30 foot setback for both side yards.
4:30 p.m. –McHenry County Mental Health Board—
Meeting in the Mental Health Board Main Conference Room, of the facility located at 620 Dakota Street, Crystal Lake.
The meeting is to be in executive session to interview a candidate for the position of executive director.
7:30 p.m. Crystal Lake Planning and Zoning Commission—
The originally scheduled petition, UDO Amendments is continued to the May 7 meeting of the Commission
