Government At Work

TUESDAY, JUNE 18—
6:00 p.m. – McHenry County College Board of Trustees Special Board Meeting.
Meeting in the MCC Board Room, located in the College, 8900 U.S. Highway 14, Crystal Lake.
The meeting is to be closed for the consideration of purchase of real estate.
MCC Committee of the Whole-Immediately following the Special Board Meeting,  a number of financial matters are to be considered by the Board followed by an explanation of the College’s Ethics Point Process by Dr. Tony Miksa, Vice President of Academic and Student Affairs.
A presentation to the Board by Ms. Christina Haggerty, Chief Communications Officer deals with Interactive Campus Mapping/Wayfinding.
Discussions are also scheduled regarding FY 2014 Administrative Compensation and FY 2014 Budget.
7:00 p.m. – Community High School District 155 Board—
Meeting in the Center For Education, One South Virginia Road, Crystal Lake.
In addition to approving payment of various bills, bond and interest payments, approving resolutions regarding prevailing wage rates for McHenry and Lake County, approval of many positions is included on the agenda as this is the end of the school year and this is necessary for proper record keeping. Other positions are being filled by staff for the 2013-2014 school year
7:00 p.m.—McHenry County Board—
Meeting in the County Board Room, County Administration Building, 667 Ware Road, Woodstock.
Two Scouts are to be recognized for awards. One is the Girl Scout Gold award and the second is an Eagle Scout award.
Four matters are on the Zoning Board of Appeals Consent Agenda including Brennan in Chemung Township for A1-A2—(Needs 13 yes votes to pass)

  • Nolan/Guereca - Chemung Township A1-A2 –(Needs 13 yes votes to pass)
  • Dobner - Chemung Township –E1V-E1V (Needs majority vote of members present)
  • Bly – Dorr Township –A1C-A1CV –(Needs majority vote of members present)
Regular Zoning Board Business 

  • Woit-Richmond Township-A1-A1C (needs majority vote of members present)
  •  Woit-Richmond Township-A1-A1V (needs 18 votes to pass)
 For the Transportation Department
The Board is being requested to approve the following:

  • Resolution approving the McHenry County Living Snow Fence Program and Appropriating Funds.
  • Resolution Approving 2013 to 2017 Highway Improvement Program
  • Resolution Awarding Road District Construction Contracts
  • Resolution Awarding a Contract for Thermoplastic Pavement Markings and Appropriating Funds for the Franklinville Road Bridge over the Kishwaukee River Project
  • Resolution Approving the Intergovernmental Agreement with the State of Illinois for the Franklinville Road Bridge over the Kishwaukee River Project and Appropriating Funds.
7:30 p.m.—Crystal Lake City Council
Meeting in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, 100 West Woodstock Street, Crystal Lake.
In addition to items needing Council approval for various requests from groups for such as liquor license applications, the Council is to consider a number of items related to the Three Oaks Recreation Area. Including:

  • A request of Cub Scout Pack 168 to overnight camp at the Area
  • Three Oaks Recreation Area Wakeboard Proposal review
  • Boat Usage at Three Oaks Recreation area
