Sandbags are currently available for the public at the City Hall Public Works garage in the rear garage parking lot at 100 W. Woodstock Street. Sandbags are provided free of charge.
Vehicles should not attempt to traverse standing water on any roadway, since the depth of the water could be deeper than it appears.
As of 10:00 AM today, ComEd reports that about 140 Crystal Lake area consumers are without power. ComEd reports that there are currently crews in Crystal Lake working to restore power to the customers. Unless additional damage occurs, ComEd reported that power should be restored by the end of the day.
