Government At Work

MONDAY, FEBRUARY 6—
8:15 A.M. –Law and Justice Committee of McHenry County Board –
Meeting in the County Board Conference Room, County Administration Building, 667 Ware Road, Woodstock.

The Committee is to consider holiday pay for the corner as well as five resolution matters.

One is regarding a Collaborative Healthcare Urgency Group. This is to create a working relationship between this group and the county in preparing for and responding to disaster situations. The Memorandum of Understanding describes the framework at all levels and assisting emergency response efforts where necessary.

A second resolution authorizes the acceptance of a 2011 State Criminal Alien Assistance Program Award. This $100,820 award is reimbursement for housing criminal aliens in the McHenry County Correctional facility and the use is restricted to Correctional facility expenses.

Another resolution authorizes the acceptance of a child passenger safety grant from the Illinois Department of Transportation. The $7,375 grant is to be matched with like amount from the County and used to expand and enhance child safety seat education and distribution of safety and booster seats to the community.

An $11,862 additional funding for financial assistance for the Emergency Management Agency is being presented for approval.

Another grant of $7,000 from the Illinois Emergency Management Agency is being accepted and is to be used for the support in the newly established Citizens Corps Council created last October.

7:00 P.M. – Crystal Lake - Ad Hoc Clean Air Counts Advisory Committee –
Meeting in the City Council Chambers Conference Room, Crystal Lake Administration Building, 100 W. Woodstock Street.

The Committee is to consider a CUB Energy Saver Program, along with goals for 2012. These include: a 2012 Bike with Your Neighbor Event, a Bike Plan/Comprehensive Bike Map; and to discuss status of additional goals.
