Severe Weather Spotters Class

McHenry County Emergency Management Agency in conjunction with McHenry County College and the National Weather Service are presenting:
 SEVERE WEATHER SPOTTERS CLASS

The date is Thursday, February 9 and there is a choice of afternoon session 1 PM – 3:30 PM or evening 7 PM – 9:30 PM
The location is the McHenry County College Conference Center, 8900 U.S. Highway 14, Crystal Lake.

There is no registration fee and guest speakers will include David Christensen, Director of the McHenry County Emergency Management Agency. He will discuss the procedures that are implemented at the McHenry County Government Center.

The second speaker is Jim Allsopp, of the National Weather Service. Who will discuss the nature of severe weather systems, the do’s and don’ts during severe weather, how to report severe weather to the National Weather Service, and the role of the National Weather Service.
