It appears that the weather did not fully cooperate this year for the Crystal Lake Park District Chili Open Golf Classic. It was scheduled for Saturday February 12 but had to be cancelled when Park District Staff, in preparing for the event, discovered there was water between two layers of ice. That was not a safe condition.
Postponement until this coming Saturday did not help any. The ice condition of the lake is still unsafe for playing golf on it.
Any registered golfers will receive a full refund.
