Virginia Road between Illinois Route 31 and Rakow Road in Crystal Lake and Lake in the Hills is being reconstructed. The northbound lane of Virginia Road will be closed to traffic beginning Tuesday, April 20 and until approximately July 2, subject to variation due to weather.
Southbound traffic will be maintained throughout the course of the project.
The detour for the northbound lane will be via Illinois Route 31 and Rakow Road.
The work being accomplished includes earth excavation, roadway drainage, shoulder reconstruction, roadway reconstruction and pavement markings.
